“Color Revolution”, “Fascism”, “Winning”, or OMGosh”
My traffic still surges from time to time with searches for “color revolution”. Spikes related to that term happen almost weekly now. In June of 2020, I wrote that article, hinted (as much as I could and not anger my tribe too much) that Donald Trump was not at all the man they wanted to believe he was. It became apparent when the culminating event, January 6th, was not kinetic and the consolidation phase was all talk, that something more complex was afoot. People search now for “color revolution” because the signs are still there. Events seem contrived, and people fear what they are led to fear. Some believe, foolishly, that they will elect ‘adults’ to correct the course.
Few realize that Trump is merely doing what the folks who run our system want; they do not care about political parties or your ideology. But they could never get the things done the Trump will implement with a ‘progressive”. But do not confuse yourself, the “adults” some hope will someday “set things right” will use every tool that Trump sets the precedence for.
All of the various reactions people have (besides those that believe “we are winning”) are correct, it is absurd, garish, scary and contrived – it is all part of a plan and color revolution methodology is just one tool in the kit, just enough to shape perception and keep people engaged in the dialectic, not to actually replace the true power brokers.
Trump’s actions this term are and were entirely predictable. I did not predict he would be this garish, but the rest, yes, and what is to come, yes. But it is not about politics, this is a political order that gives no damns about your or my political wishes or ideologies.
Wars and Rumors of Wars
If I step back and ignore all geopolitical theories about “great” games, “world island” etc. etc., and also dispense with all “conspiracy theories” that might explain Gaza and Ukraine, I am left with one fact – it makes no sense.
The war in Ukraine should have ended a long time ago. Morally, logically, rationally, it makes no sense that, by my estimates over two million folks have died in a war that, historically speaking, would already be over. A smaller power does not “poke a bear” and fight endlessly with a greater power. If the collective “West” did not shove money and weapons into the conflict, it would have ended, likely with the same result that eventually will become the reality on the ground. This is unnatural, and it is immoral.
Of course, we cannot really dispense with geopolitical theories, and behind those, there are conspiracies of a sort driving all of this. Things are changing in the world, and elites are using the blood of others to shape the outcome of that. I wish more around me could let go of their political team goggles and see that.
We dance on the verge of a potential real escalation, real genocide is occurring in the world, and we are not yet finished starting new wars…I wish it would all stop but few even ask the right questions.
The Paradox of Absurdity
Not to diminish the murder and death of that young Ukrainian girl in Charlotte this past week but that entire story demonstrates the absurd paradox of our time. This girl, left her country in a time of war, was, as far as I can tell, celebrated by a certain type of person on the political spectrum. I saw a photo of her, in her room with a “Black Lives Matter” poster, she apparently championed the persona of the “progressive” the same sort that championed her before her murder and cheers still for the continued war and suffering in Ukraine.
When she was murdered for no other apparent reason than she was a blonde white girl, the progressives were silent, or whispered it was “socioeconomic” pressures that caused it. Elements of the “right” screamed about the absurdity that her case received almost no media attention, a hate crime of a black man on a white woman gets far less coverage than Daniel Penny’s case, which was not a hate crime at all – but was painted as one.
It is a paradox of absurdity – so absurd one could be inclined to believe the entire story is made up to cause more division. I am not claiming that, I am merely pointing out, this is where we are. People are so stuck in their political teams facts matter to nobody, real death matters to nobody unless it is useful to make a point. Sad times.
We have built a narrative of hate; it has built over the years, 2014 and 2020 were watershed moments. Reasonable and wise men saw this, warned against the mad rush in 2020 to be an ally to the hatred, wise men warned then that people would die because of this (many others have before that young woman on a train, she will not be the last). Iryna Zarutska is just the latest sad case – murdered by a man that should have been locked up years ago, surrounded by others of his kind that merely watched this poor girl bleed to death. I for one have no regrets for any relationships I broke off in my life over this evil – and it is evil. Hating yourself, your people, and your kind while enabling this as an ‘ally’ is evil.
The Economy Already Crashed, and Most People Failed to Notice
This month marks the 11th year anniversary of my marriage to the woman God custom designed for me as an act of special grace. We have four anniversaries to be honest, it gets confusing, (The time I told her in Louisiana I was going to marry her, the civil ceremony in May so I could make her official with the Army and then a “wedding “ in September – and there was that time we stumbled into a weird church and they had all the couples stand up and “renew their vows” - very strange place).
The second day after meeting my wife, I asked her on a proper date, I took her to a proper restaurant. At the time, I had never previously spent that amount of money on two people at a dinner, and I thought it was crazy high - $150. Sure, I imagine even eleven years ago a person could find a way to spend much more than that on a meal for two, I am just not the sort that sees a point in all that and had never spent that much. Fast forward, eleven years later, her and I at a similar restaurant, a similar meal. The price now almost $350.
Yes, this is one example. I do all the cooking and I shop for the groceries – I enjoy it. Back in 2019, I had a weekly shopping trip down to a science, I could come out at almost the same price every week. We ate steaks, shrimp, fresh vegetables. Now, that price, if I bought the same items is three times the 2019 rate. I buy a lot more chicken and pork now but the price is still twice as high. Nobody came along and doubled my base pay in that period. I am fine, we are fine – but I wonder how other people deal with this, some struggle, I am sure.
Look at housing. It is a ponzi scheme and a lie, supported by idiots who want the scheme to keep going so they do not have to find real jobs and bolstered by speculators and investors. A person had to be either a complete fool to buy a house after late 2020, desperate or found a unicorn deal. Oh sure, there are still plenty of cases of people flipping, there are still idiots borrowing money this late in the ponzi scheme to over pay for housing…but holy crap. I read the other day that the percentage of new mortgages that are adjustable rate is higher right now than 2008. We live amongst fools, charlatans and assholes! This bubble is breaking, people are finding out about their bad decisions, but it will get worse, much worse. The worst thing the government did in recent times (and there are so many dumb things competing for #1) was after 2008 not allowing the entire housing market to implode and for every investor, real estate agent and speculator to go broke and end up in a soup line or out applying for a manual labor job. Too many survived and began to do the same things again. The “Find Out” phase, was applied to ordinary people, not the assholes that profited (for the most part).
Oh, we could write and talk about this exclusively – “investment bros” on various streaming applications still talk about the latest big “play” all the while the S&P, equities and the housing market are completely divorced from actual reality in the economy. This whole thing has already crashed, the government knows it, smart people know it – it is a zombie economy of lies. How long before it hurts so much everyone knows…I do not know.
“AI 2027”, “AI winter”, “AI bubble and Hype”
To many people write and say too much about this. I will keep my words simple.
AI, as currently hyped, is a lie. But, unlike previous AI hype moments, we might be too far into this one. There are real problems (see above, a fake economy that has crashed but limps along on lies). Governments need a solution, and many within government believe the hype, and in believing they greatly fear losing the AI arms race globally.
AI will never be sentient. It will not be demon possessed, generally, although I suspect when people use it like a Ouija board it does channel evil spirits. The current transformer based LLM models will always fail to provide robust and honest service. Maybe someone will decide to stop all that absurdity and build true expert systems – not sure why anyone thought allowing an AI to read Wikipedia and Reddit as “training” was ever a good idea. But a system trained just on a few subject matter books, that will eventually be useful. But AI is not going to take over the world -it may make some dufuses with pointless jobs unemployed and it will do a fine job working in warehouses and delivering food. But the rest, it is overhyped – but that will not stop us, because the system is broken and we desperately need a Hail Mary
That is it, that is all. I seldom seriously look at the world or social media or allow anyone to engage me deeply on these topics. I float and enjoy the blessings that God for some reason, favored me with. I wish it were all different. I still watch the youngest generation the Zoomers, the system is coming for them hard, but they have something in them – there is hope.
